Pasco County opens Disaster Recovery Center | News
New Port Richey, Florida -- Pasco County has announced it has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at 4444 Grand Avenue (Corner of Grand and Troublecreek Road), New Port Richey today, July 12.
The DRC is designed to assist residents in recovering from Tropical Storm Debby and will operate Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In an effort to ease filling out forms and obtaining information, Pasco County has joined with State, Federal and local non-profits to create a one-stop shop where residents can get answers to questions about programs, assess damage to their property and rebuilding.
State and FEMA officials will be on hand to explain the systems and paperwork needed to file for assistance. The Salvation Army, Red Cross and United Way, Department of Children and Families and the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board will also be at the DRC to provide other unmet needs to those who qualify for assistance.
The County also plans to have representatives from the Health Department, Building Inspection, Veterans Office, Housing Office, Utilities and other departments as needed.
