Robinson stuns Pasco, 49-21, advances to state final four

Tampa, FL - It was a night for the Knights. The Robinson Knights (12-1) turned in a dominating performance against the previously unbeaten Pasco Pirates, advancing to the Class 5A state semifinals against Tallahassee Godby.

The Pirates (12-1) got a defensive touchdown to get on scoreboard first. Robinson quarterback Zain Gilmore fumbled the snap and Brandon Ray returned it 40 yards for the score.

Pasco's Brandon Ray Player of the Week

Dade City, FL - Pasco High School's Brandon Ray is the Southern Ford Dealers Player of the Week.

The sophomore kicker, punter, cornerback and wide receiver rarely comes off the field.

Ray consistently put his kickoffs into the endzone, eliminating any chance of a long runback.   He also was a perfect 7-for-7 on extra points, boomed a 50-yard punt and kicked a 42-yard field goal in the first half.

Pasco runs past Eastside 52-0

Dade City, Fl - In the Class 5A region semifinal game against the Gainesville Eastside Rams, the Pasco Pirates offense did what they've done all season, score early and often.

On the game's second play from scrimmage, David Emmanuel burst up the middle for a 53-yard touchdown.

The Pasco's defense also did what they do best, keep teams out of the endzone and create turnovers.

USA Today HSS Top 10 Football Poll

As we approach the final week of the season, first round playoff matchups are set, and only one final game, often a rivalry game, remains for most teams.

There was very little movement in the High School Sports top 10 this week, with the exception of Lakeland dropping down and out, and East Lake moving up and in.

Again, the High School Sports Top 10 encompasses gridiron teams from the entire Tampa Bay area, Polk, Pasco, Hernando, Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas and Hillsborough.

Once again, there can't be any disagreement with our number one team:
