PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA-- Last summer the Senate and House passed legislation and, on July 6, 2012, the President signed into law the Federal Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act of 2012 (RESTORE Act), which holds the parties responsible for the Gulf oil disaster accountable for restoring the Gulf.

Pasco County, Florida -- Attention all Pasco County elementary school students- there is a conservation poster contest!

This is for students who CARE about the environement. CARE stands for conserve and reduce energy. The winning poster design will be used throughout the district to promote the conservation campaign.

Florida State Parks announces new, free mobile app

Florida-- Trees, lakes, trails, wildlife- they're all things that come to mind when thinking about Florida's parks. Techonology, smartphones and applications, howeverm are probably the last things to come to mind- until now!

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Park Services department has announced the launch of their new, free mobile application, which will serve as an interactive guide for users on the go at any of Florida's 171 parks, trails and historic sites.
