Man subject of SWAT call out arrested

Zephyrhills, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's detectives arrested 60-year-old Jackson Prescott at a location on Wise Road Tuesday afternoon.

Police went to Prescott's home Tuesday morning after neighbors reported hearing gunshots outside his home around 3 a.m. Deputies also had a warrant for Prescott's arrest for Felony Battery.

Zephyrhills, FL -- The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has cleared the scene at Lane Road and Stanford Avenue after a SWAT team was called out late Tuesday morning.

Deputies showed up at the home at 420 Lane Road to serve a warrant for Felony Battery on 50-year-old Jackson Levi Prescott. Neighbors told police he was shooting his gun outside the home at 3 a.m. Tuesday and called 911.

Judge: Claims in other states OK at fugitive trial

WALSENBURG, Colo. - A Colorado judge has ruled that allegations from other states can be used in a case against a woman accused in a crime spree.

Lee Grace Dougherty has pleaded not guilty to attempted second-degree murder, assault and other charges related to a high-speed chase and what authorities say was a shootout before her capture Aug. 10.

Land O'Lakes, FL -- The Pasco Alliance of Community Associations (PACA) will hold a meeting on cost-effective and proper management of community-owned lakes and ponds on Thursday, Jan. 12.

The public is invited to attend the meeting at 7 p.m. at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center, located at 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. (US 41), three miles north of SR 54.

Sheriff Chris Nocco announces intention to run for Pasco Sheriff

Pasco County, FL -- Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco has announced he plans to formally file his paper work to seek election to the post he was appointed.  

"Pasco County is facing the same issues as a large metropolitan county.  I believe we, the Sheriff's Office, are headed in the right direction to ensure the safety of our citizens," Nocco stated in his release to the media.
